EXAIR Electronic Flow Controller for ...
The EFC combines a photoelectric sensor with a timing control that limits compressed air use by turning it off when no part is present.
In most industrial plants, the air compressor uses more electricity than any other equipment in the facility. Just one process using compressed air can easily waste thousands of electricity dollars per year if not properly controlled. The EFC minimizes compressed air costs by turning on the air only when it is required and provides just enough air to complete a specific task or operation.
Tuning to the application requirements using the timing control on the EFC is straightforward with numerous valve operating modes and timing delays. The compact photoelectric sensor has a sensitivity adjustment that can detect objects up to 1-metre away. This sensor provides superior immunity to noise and inductive loads that are common to industrial environments and installs easily in tight spaces with the supplied mounting bracket.
The EFC has an easy electrical connection for voltages from 100V to 240VAC (50/60Hz) that is appropriate for applications throughout the world. The NEMA 4/IP66 polycarbonate enclosure of the EFC is suitable for a wide range of applications including those in wet locations. The timing control unit and photoelectric sensor are equipped with a 2.74 metre power cord.
Four models of the EFC are offered that include the timing control, photoelectric sensor and choice of a 40, 100, 200 or 350 SCFM solenoid valve.
