Material Finish

Our Skin Tone colour acrylics are high grade cast acrylic with gloss finish on one side and matt finish on the other, allowing you to choose your finish.  For exact colour swatches you can purchase sample swatch packs. See sample swatches in the materials list. 

Protective Masking

Each side of the acrylic is coated in a paper film, protective layer for protection during transport and storage. For best results with your acrylic ensure that it is stored lying flat to avoid warpage and remove plastic film before etching.

Why Use Cast Acrylic?

Cast acrylic material provides a high thickness consistency and is easy to fabricate, with less chance of warping or shrinkage, when compared to extruded acrylic. Cast acrylic will cut easily without meting edges and can be polished to a high lustre after cutting.

Shipping is generally more economical in smaller sized sheets, up to 22kg in weight. To calculate approximate acrylic sheet weight use the following formula:

• Weight(kg = Width(m)*Length(m)*Thickness(mm)*1.19
• For example the following is the weight estimate per sheet:
• 3mm Thick Acrylic 200*300mm = 215g
• 3mm Thick Acrylic 300*600mm = 643g
• 3mm Thick Acrylic 600*600mm = 1.28kg
• 3mm Thick Acrylic 600*900mm = 1.93kg
