The Monarch IP Aluminium is suitable for many infrastructure, chemical or marine environments, and is typically used in applications such as water, wastewater, road and rail.
The range combines the advantages of aluminium while including the features and accessories of the well known Monarch IP enclosure range. These include, IP66 protection rating, removable hinged pins, 3-point locking, and a high quality finish.
The enclosures are manufactured from 2.5mm powdercoated aluminium making them robust, light weight and corrosion resistant. They include a unique removable back panel that is secured from the inside to prevent unauthorised access, a particularly important feature if they are to be used for infrastructure applications. Various lock options are also available depending on the application and security required. These range from a standard turnbuckle style lock to a padlockable swing handle. The doors on all but the smallest model also include 3 point locking to help reduce the risk of the door being levered open.
Inside the enclosure is an extremely flexible mounting system that uses ‘C’ section rails to fit a large range of optional accessories. These can be used to configure anything from a standard enclosure to a form 2 switchboard. Accessories include mounting pans and insulating panels, shelves (which can also be used for segregation), fixed and hinged escutcheons, and more.
If temperature control is an issue, also available is a complete set of enclosure air conditioners, heat exchanger, fans, filters and anticondensation heaters. The air conditioners are available in capacities of up to 10kW, however if the application is outside, in dusty conditions a heat exchanger is often the best choice.
