Vaughan Triton Screw Pump
Highly robust with heavy-duty power frames, the Vaughan Triton pump is designed to reliably transport difficult-to-pump media without the risk of clogging. Unlike its chopper pump counterpart, the Triton, with its special screw impeller, is designed to pass whole solids without reducing their size. This is especially useful in the fruit and vegetable industry where delicate products need to be transported without damage, or for shear-sensitive fluids such as thickened sludges or process slurries.
As standard, the Triton Screw Centrifugal Pump is fitted with Vaughan’s industry-leading flushless mechanical cartridge seal, with a number of other sealing options available on request. Materials of construction can be customised for the application from a selection of quality cast ductile and hardened steels, stainless steels, and chrome iron.
Other unique features of the Triton include steep performance curves with high hydraulic efficiencies; non-overloading power characteristics; low NPSH requirements; a back pull-out casing design; replaceable suction cone, and a patent-pending back cutter system.
PRODUCT FEATURES
Capacity Range
The Vaughan Triton is available in a number of installation configurations including horizontal end suction, vertical dry pedestal, submersible, and vertical wet well. Pumps are available with 4” to 12” discharge sizes for flow rates from 20 m3/hr up to over 2,000 m3/hr for the largest models.
Applications
Key applications include pumping of municipal sewage in wastewater treatments plants and collection systems, plant influent areas, RAS, WAS, thickened and aerated sludge transfer, fruit and vegetable processing (transportation of whole delicate solids such as tomatoes, apples, carrots etc), paper stock slurries, industrial sludges, chemicals and resins, and oil field salt water disposal plant slurries (oil and seawater mixtures).
Materials
Optional Materials - For Corrosion and Abrasion Resistance
