The Kat is essentially a motorized platform that holds welding guns or cutting torches while traveling along a special track.

Its purpose is to improve welding and cutting operations by moving the activated welding gun or torch along the desired work path at the exact required speed.

The electrically powered Kat has a pinion drive gear that engages the rack on the special Kat track, driving it forward or reverse at selected speeds. A wheel guide system grips each side of the track enabling the Kat to travel in any position - even upside down. The patented bogey wheel assembly keeps the carriage snug to the track while allowing it to be easily mounted or removed from the track at any point.

Two Kat models are available: one for operation on rigid, aluminum track... the other for use with Flex-Track steel spring track.

Welding or cutting torches are readily mounted on the Kat carriage, which has a vertical load capacity of 100lbs. (45kg) on most rigid or flex track models. Its track is positioned to move the welding gun or torch along the desired path. The track is securely affixed using magnetic or vacuum activated mounting devices.
Safety is assured by the use of Gullco's low voltage (24 volt), highly advanced control/power supply system that is available in three line voltage inputs - 42, 110 and 230 volt A.C., single phase, 50/60 Hz, or any unregulated 24 volt D.C. power supply at 220 watts of power.

Simply mount the Kat on the track and set its control to the desired travel speed. An advanced micro-processor based control provides precise forward and reverse speed settings for optimum automated welding or cutting results.

The operation proceeds exactly as planned - with precise start-to-finish control over the quality of the welding or cutting work regardless of the number of passes or pieces involved.
