As a long-lasting and inexpensive alternative to laser etching we recommend embossing the MMP350W-38C  (89mm x 9.5mm x 0.25mm) stainless steel tags if the number of alphanumeric characters is a single line of 16 or fewer characters. Likewise, we recommend embossing the MMP350C or H-C (89mm x 19mm x 0.25mm) stainless steel or MMP350H-CALBU, CALGR, CALRD, CALBL, CALYL AND CAL (89mm x 19mm x 0.25mm) aluminium tags if the number of alphanumeric characters is no more than three lines of 48 or fewer characters.

If there is a requirement for more information to be included or for company logos to be included these can be laser etched rather than embossed.

Up to 24 twelve point (3mm high)  characters can be laser etched onto a MMP350W-38C or up to 48 twelve point characters onto a MMP350C or H-C OR or MMP350H-CALBU, CALGR, CALRD, CALBL, CALYL AND CAL aluminium tags. An MMP350W17Q has room for a company logo plus more than 64 twelve point alpha-numeric characters. While for reasons of readability we do not recommend using fonts of less than 12 points in height) it is certainly possible to laser etch many more alphanumeric characters if 11, 10, 9 or 8 point fonts are used.

We recommend the Arial family of fonts for maximum legibility and sending text requirements to us by e-mail as MSExcel file attachments.
