Horizontal Static Safety Lines for Height ...
The RIS Hammerhead Lifeline System is permanently installed on a building or other structure which needs to be used by personnel exposed to the risk of falling when carrying out their maintenance work.
The RIS Hammerhead lifeline System is designed to protect 1- 4 people attached simultaneously to the same line, each worker needs to be fitted with a full body harness and a lanyard with a suitable energy absorber.
The RIS Hammerhead lifeline System consists of a stainless steel wire rope fixed onto the supporting structure by anchors placed regularly along the cable which limits structural loads to 6kn in the event of a fall this allows the system to be mounted on delicate structures.
One or more persons can attach themselves to the cable by means of a mobile anchor point (further referred to as the glider). The Hammerhead lifeline enables the user to move freely to any point on the lifeline where there is a risk of falling without the need to detach themselves from the cable at any time.
All the components of the lifeline are manufactured from stainless steel, which have a great resistance to the atmospheric degradation.
The operational life is a function of the building structure and of its capacity to maintain its physical properties in the course of time. The only other factor affecting the lifeline over time is the friction between the glider and the cable guides. The design lifespan envisaged for this component is 10 years.
The RIS Hammerhead lifeline system has been designed and tested in accordance with Australian Standards AS/NZ1891.
