The Wired Interconnection Photoelectric Smoke Alarm with Lithium Back Up Battery by Emerald Planet (EP-HW-240-Li10) is powered by 240V mains power and supported by a 10Yr Lithium battery back-up.

This photoelectric smoke alarm is fitted with a test/hush/silence button to facilitate testing of the alarm. The silence function allows the alarm/system to be silenced in the case of a false alarm, such as it happens when someone is frying meat or other smokey things and everything is under control. Silencing one alarm will silence all connected alarms.

In case the power goes off, the battery will kick in and the alarm will keep working, so you can have extra peace of mind. The alarm can be stand-alone or can be connected (hardwired) with up to 12 alarms on one circuit. To connect the alarms to a circuit enables them to activate simultaneously.

Emerald Planet Smoke Alarms are designed to meet the rigorous new Australian smoke alarm standards (AS3786: 2014).
