The kit comprises the AEMC 6424 meter along with earth stakes and cables on spools. This allows the meter to undertake 2-pole and 3-pole testing without the need to purchase additional test leads and components. The main cables supplied in the kit are 150-ft (approximately 46 metres) long.

The AEMC 6424 digital ground resistance tester performs 2-pole and 3-pole ground resistance measurement. This direct reading tester is auto-ranging, so it automatically seeks out the optimum measurement range. The AEMC 6424 is easy to use - simply connect the leads, press to measure, and read the test results. The large LCD also indicates low battery status, over range, and lead reversals.

The  6424 ground resistance tester is supplied with 3 safety colour coded terminals to aid in easy hookup, measure voltage up to 600V AC/DC and AC current up to 60A with the optional current probe (model MN72).

The AEMC 6424 is powered by 6 x AA rechargeable NIMH batteries, and is available as the meter only, or in complete test Kits (150ft and 300ft versions).

This ground resistance tester is both economical and feature rich, and ideal for testing commercial, residential, and light industrial grounding systems. The innovative design simplifies the process and provides reliable results eliminating confusion in setting it up correctly. A simple one button connect-press-read operation is all that is needed. The AEMC 6424 is capable of storing and calculating the measurements from the simplified 62% test method and displaying the average and % deviation which is important in determining correct spacing for the test.
