Developed by the ICP DAS, the CCON protocol is one of the application layer protocols on the CAN bus. The CCON protocol is a simple and effective protocol for industrial automation applications.
Based on the CAN bus layer, it provides many safe and robust communication mechanisms like arbitration, error detection and error correction. It has been designed to help establish CAN network applications easily and quickly build a CCON network to meet the application’s requirements.
The CAN-2053 module follows the CCON version 2.00. Users can access the digital I/O status and set the configuration by using the CCON protocol. The CAN-2053 has 16-channels of isolated sink/source input, and it can be used in various applications, such as building automation, factory automation, machine automation and distributed data acquisition.
