BioEnergy Compost Turner | CT718

Get consistent results in less time with the CT718 compost turner. Featuring a large 44”/111.76 cm drum to mix and aerate more material with each rotation, the CT718 allows operators to program a constant load to maximize efficiency.

Process up to 5,000 tons (4535.9 metric tons) per hour. A Caterpillar C15 Tier 3 engine provides 540 hp/402.68 kw of power. A synchronous poly-belt drum drive system, and a heavy-duty construction, help deliver long machine life with less maintenance.

AGGRESSIVE FLAILS. The aggressive Vermeer flails ensure aeration and mixing. When properly aerated, the composting cycle is considerably shortened and site throughput is increased.
JOBSITE EFFICIENCY. Advanced Control System (ACS) controller monitors engine rpm and slows or stops the ground drive when it reaches the programmable set point to reduce stalling the turner in the windrow.
RELIABLE COMPONENTS. The poly-synchronous belt drum drive has proven to be a reliable system requiring little maintenance and offering adjustable shafts.
PRECISE CONTROL. Equipped with independently controlled lift cylinders for thorough aeration of the compost pile.
EXTENDED CLUTCH LIFE. Engine power is transferred through the hydraulically actuated PT Tech clutch. To help extend clutch life, control software prevents the operator from engaging or disengaging the drum drive at full engine rpm.
EASE OF MAINTENANCE. All grease points are accessible from ground level. Hinged, lockable doors on both sides of the engine provide spacious access for maintenance.
