In many workplace environments, employees can be exposed to different situations and hazards where the need to notify other staff or the public of their presence is important. Australian Safety Standard also states that employees are required in certain situations to wear particular clothing which assists their visibility and minimizes the chance of an accident occurring.

An item of clothing used to assist an employees’ visibility is the Safety Vest. This vest is made using a fluorescent material that is impregnated with a pigment which is able to convert light from any UV spectrum to light in a visible spectrum. This means that a wearer will be highly visible under both daylight and night time under retro reflected light.

Australian Safety Standards also require that in certain situations some vests require reflective tape to assist visibility, for example, in environments where the wearer will be working in poor light such as night time road works. These are available in a variety of configurations which include a cross or striped style.

These are available in both short sleeved and long sleeves and provide the highest level of protection against the sun with a UV rating of 50+.
