THE MOST COMPACT MANITOU TELEHANDLER
Manitou Group has designed an ultra-compact telehandler tailored for users seeking a versatile, easy-to-use, and transportable machine. Weighing less than 3 tons, it can be loaded onto a trailer with a SWL of 3,500 kg. With dimensions among the most compact in the market (width: 1.49 m, height: 1.92 m), it comes in 1.25 t and 1.5 t lifting capacity versions, both reaching a height of 4.30 m.
Targeting construction, agriculture, and landscaping sectors, this telehandler facilitates efficient work through rapid familiarisation and easy transportation on a single trailer for artisan masons and landscapers. It reduces machine transportation times, enhancing overall productivity.
VERSATILITY & PROFITABILITY
Equipped with various attachments, such as forks carriages, hedge cutter, pot clamp, branch cutter, Big Bag handler, and snow blade, this four-wheel-drive telehandler excels on rough terrain. A number of innovative features help to reduce the total cost of ownership of this model. The Stop & Start option ensures a reduction of around $15 per hour idling of the machine’s TCO (reduced machine depreciation, fuel consumption and preventive maintenance).
Maintenance is optimized with easy access to main engine components, a hatch for debris removal, and eye-level fuel and hydraulic oil tanks. Connectivity allows remote geolocation and system monitoring via smartphone.
VISIBILITY
Inside the cab, the operator has an unobstructed 360°view to work safely. The design of the ULM telehandler offers unparalleled visibility to the lateral view for the operator due to the strategic placement of hydraulic hoses within the boom and the low positioning of the engine cover to the right of the operator.
The enhancements in visibility extends to the the roof of the ULM:
“We worked with our design office to find an innovative solution that provides even more safety and comfort. We replaced the roof grille with a transparent, shock-resistant polycarbonate window, which complies perfectly with the requirements of the FOPS standard”
SAFETY AND COMFORT
The new ULM telehandler is designed to make handling operations even safer and more enjoyable. Access to the cab is easy with no added step. Users can also leverage driver assistance, thanks to dashboard screen that presents essential driving information through pop-ups.
The joystick is conventionally situated on a floating armrest, providing increased flexibility in its usage. To ensure prolonged driving comfort, the group has introduced an automatic parking brake. Moreover, three steering modes are available: two-wheel steering for high-speed travel, four-wheel steering for navigating tight spaces, and crab mode for lateral manoeuvres.
