Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) are useful but complex pieces of equipment that are often used for access in hazardous areas. When used correctly they provide a safe way to perform work at height.
The Elevating Work Platform Association just released its new Good Practice Guide to help MEWPs operators work and use their equipment in the safest ways possible.
The guidelines outline the safe work practices on how to use and maintain MEWPs safely and help duty holders meet their obligations under the Work (Occupational) Health and Safety Acts and Regulations in force in each state of Australia.
