Annex is a contract packing and third party warehousing provider, partnering some of Australia’s leading food, FMCG, pharmaceutical and veterinary companies. The company has invested in a new plant to cope with rapid expansion.
The new ADCO machine at Annex is a horizontal 15DZ semi-automatic with the ability to be fitted with an automatic loading system at any time in the future. A Nordson hot-melt applicator is standard on the ADCO range.
The ADCO is in operation 12 hours a day, five days a week, cartoning an ever-expanding range of products for Annex’s many and varied customers.
Annex knew exactly what it wanted from a cartoning machine. “I wanted a user-friendly machine that was suitable for coping with a very wide range of customers,” said Michael Turner, Managing Director.
For Annex, ADCO was the right choice for a number of reasons. “The ADCO is an excellent piece of equipment,” says Mr Turner. “It’s very easy to use and highly flexible which is imperative for a contract packer. Other cartoners we have used have been complicated and notoriously unreliable.”
“We have also bought a lot of various packaging machinery off Emrich Industries over the years and we have a great amount of comfort when working with them. I cannot speak too highly about their attention to our needs and their follow up service abilities.”
“Contract packing is a dynamic business and we needed a cartoner that would be able to accommodate the ever-changing needs of our customers,” continues Mr Turner. “The flexibility and simplicity of the ADCO are the best features of the machine.”
The ADCO also has hygiene benefits for Annex. The cartoner is of stainless steel construction and is easy to clean.
The ADCO system has increased Annex’s capacity. “We’re a leader in the Australian packaging marketplace and give great emphasis to the quality of our packaging equipment,” says Mr Turner.
