This Transportable Battery Cage Goods Storage has been manufactured in conjunction with one of Australia’s largest integrated waste management and industrial service companies to transport lead acid batteries over large distances on some of Australia’s most inhospitable roads.

Application

• To accommodate a full pallet of used batteries up to 640mm high directly on the bund or palletised on a standard wood pallet up to 500mm high.

Key Features

• Integral 145 litre polyethylene spill bund captures leaks and drips.
• The sump bund is fitted with removable polypropylene bund grating to allow easy access to the bund for cleaning.
• Liner & bund materials provide excellent corrosion resistance against battery acid.
• The batter cage bund has been Type Load tested to 2000kg by NATA accredited engineers (a dynamic compression test certificate is available if required)
• The transportable cage is forkliftable from four sides and can be vertically stacked for shipping if required.
• It is fitted with a 270 degree opening door with ISO locking bar & padlock lug (padlock by others)
• Fitted with transport placard in accordance with Australian Dangerous Goods Code 2017 Edition 7.5.
• It features a two coat protective finish for outdoor use – epoxy undercoat with UV stabilised polyester topcoat (grey) 

Advantages

• Collection sump has a removable grated floor to allow access for cleaning any spilled acid.
• All fasteners used on the battery cage are marine grade (316) stainless steel.
• Appropriate customer identification and Hazchem Class 8 Corrosive signage is fitted onto two sides.
• Alternatively, individual batteries may also be placed directly onto the spill sump grate from the front access.
• Forklift access is enabled from all four sides to allow easy loading and unloading of full cages onto trucks for transporting.
• The transport battery cage’s feet and post tops allow cages to be stacked if required.
